As one of the food capitals of the world, New York City is bursting at the seams with amazing restaurants. The problem? Deciding where to go first. Having visited NYC numerous times, I’ve managed to put all my favourites into a list to share with you. Here are some places you have to wine and dine at next time you’re in the city.

Mercer Kitchen
Located in SoHo, Mercer Kitchen is all about chic and sophisticated vibes and upscale cuisine.

ABC Kitchen
With an ever-changing menu, ABC Kitchen makes sure to be consistent with its organic and locally sourced ingredients.

Cafe Select
Cafe Select is a beautiful European style bistro, boasting some Swiss specialities.

Jack’s Wife Freda
This bustling NY bistro brings to life the owners’ favourite childhood dishes from Israel and South Africa, combined with inspiration from New York’s Jewish food and culture. You can find them in SoHo, West Village and Chelsea.

The Butcher’s Daughter
The Butcher’s Daughter is a plant-based restaurant, cafe and juice bar. Not what you expect but everything you never knew you needed!

Lafayette
A beautiful French grand cafe and bakery in the heart of Manhattan’s NoHo.

Lilia
Head to Williamsburg and you’ll find Lilia, an Italian restaurant with delicious wood-fired meals, housemade pasta and classic Italian cocktails.

Sant Ambroeus
Another Italian gem, Sant Ambroeus dishes up delicious Milanese cuisine, coffee and gelato.
