My Intimate Civil Wedding Ceremony

Recently, my love and I got married, and I’ve been daydreaming about our special day ever since. What made it truly special was that we went a non-traditional route – an intimate civil wedding ceremony made big with personal touches.

I’ve always believed that simplicity has the greatest impact, and I had that in mind when I approached Mexican fashion designer, Carmen Llaguno, to design my dream dress.

The ruched halter neck with a low back draped me perfectly – Carmen is a genius!

For my makeup I went with a black cat eye but I made sure to use neutral tones on the eyelid. My nose is my biggest insecurity so we applied several different contouring techniques. I also used my favorite Chanel lipstick which I think looks so natural. Here are some of the products that I used for my big day:

Because my dress honored simplicity, I decided to pair it with shoes that would add some sparkle and shimmer. I chose a really bold pair of heels from Rene Caovilla that did just that.

The ankle strap added a touch of daintiness and the embellished film brought the shine.

Lastly, small and intimate were incredibly important to us. Getting married is a personal thing, so we only wanted our nearest and dearest to share it with us. We opted for a beach lunch with just 30 people. To complement the beach theme, I went with yellow flowers. To me, they were the perfect representation of summer. I mean, who doesn’t want to hold summer in their hands?

All of the elements combined made for an unforgettable day. We had a small celebration because COVID was still a huge issue at the time. We will have our religious ceremony with all of our friends and family on November 5th, 2022. I can’t wait to show you guys all the details and surprises I have planned for my special day.
