Saks Potts is a Copenhagen-based brand launched in 2014 by Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts. The chic 90’s minimalism and modernism inspired the founders to create garments that fit into a modern women’s lifestyle. Their collections are sophisticated and long-lasting, empowering women all around the world. I love the fact that all of their pieces are attention grabbing ones. They are always taking bold risks with their colors and designs. I still remember the first time i saw a foxy coat from Saks on Instagram back in 2019. It was love at first sight. it’s been 3 years since that day and i still day dream of having the light purple one in my wardrobe.
The brand was launched in 2006 by Danish designer Stine Goya. She wanted to differentiate from the Scandinavian minimal aesthetic through an exploration of color and print. Since then the brand has exponentially grown while maintaining their foundation of flattering cuts, quality fabrics and hand-drawn prints designed in-house. My favorite thing about Stine Goya is that they are always incorporating fun prints and mixing things up. If you want to spice up your closet this is the brand for you.
“We want to empower the individuals wearing our clothes. Our design ethos is centered around strong, impassioned ideas and we believe in the power of colour and print. We want to give our customers the opportunity to express their true character through timeless, wearable and unique designs” – Stine Goya
ROTATE is a brand from Birger Christensen, created in partnership with stylists Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimarsdottir to design the pieces that they dream of having in their closets. Based in Copenhagen, the brand has taken the world by storm with its sexy minidresses and covetable pieces for the going out wardrobe. If I had to describe my style with a single brand it would definitely be Rotate. It’s just the perfect mix between girly and edgy. I took notice of the brand back in 2020 but at that time we were in a pandemic and I didn’t want to buy pieces that would just sit in my closet. By the end of 2021 I couldn’t contain myself and I started purchasing my first Rotate garments. The first thing that I noticed was the high quality of the materials that they used. I was so impressed by every detail that when 2022 came around and I was invited to attend New York Fashion Week I knew in my heart that I wanted to wear statement pieces from this brand. I bought myself an orange sequin dress and a black leather dress and they were a complete hit with my audience.
Owned and run by husband-and-wife team Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup and founder Nicolaj Reffstrup, Ganni has become one of the coolest danish brands with its scandi 2.0 sense of style. Ganni takes sustainability super seriously so they’re on a journey to become a more responsible version of themselves through a responsibility game plan, which comprises 44 goals across people, planet, product, and prosperity to reach by 2023. My first purchase from Ganni was a pair of black timeless loafers. I never imagined that they would quickly become my favorite pair of shoes. I bought them when I went on a trip with my mother to get my wedding dress. So, every time I see them I get super emotional. Shortly after that I started ordering pieces via Farfetch and my obsession has just kept growing.
Founded in Copenhagen in 1999, Baum und Pferdgarten is one of the leading Danish fashion houses. Their timeless and design-led collections are full of unexpected playful contrasts.
“We want to create designs for women who want to have fun with their personal expression. Our collections can be worn in many different ways by many different women. We create clothes that help women tell their own story.”
– Creative Directors, Helle Hestehave and Rikke Baumgarten
