For over 100 years, Chanel has been a pioneer in the fashion world and constantly makes waves with its visionary collections and runways.
Its Fall / Winter 2022-2023 collection debut was a classic example of the brand’s legacy.
Set in a dreamy playground in the Étrier de Paris equestrian center, conceptualized by French installation artist, Xavier Veilhan, the brand did what no one else could: make cowgirl chic haute couture.
“In this new collection, there are suits, long dresses like Mademoiselle Chanel imagined them in the 1930s: fitted to the body even though they have strong shoulders here, and pleated dresses like the wedding dress for instance,” Chanel creative director Virginie Viard said in a press release. “And lace too, inlaid, reworked, not embroidered, but repainted. The palette consists of bright green, khaki, beige, pink, lots of black and silver.”
In succession from casual to formal, models paid homage to the equestrian center with cowboy boots, wide-brim hats, pleated dresses, and Capri-style pants.
The debut was completely inspired, a permanent characteristic of Chanel.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see these looks hit the streets.
These are my favorite looks from the runway:
