Chanel Spring-Summer 2023 Ready-To-Wear Collection

Chanel debuted its Spring-Summer 2023 Ready-To-Wear Collection in Paris recently and it celebrated the true meaning of what it is to be a Chanel woman.

Virginie Viard, Chanel’s Creative Director, has created a collection that is purer, more serene and more elegant than we’ve seen in quite some time.

The collection was inspired by Kristen Stewart, with the show opening with a black and white movie shown on the 360° cinema screen, starring Stewart. On Stewart being her muse, Viard said:

Whether it’s her, or the other women I dress, I need to feel that they like the clothes anyway. But, among the people around me, she is the closest to Gabrielle Chanel, at least to my idea of her. She understands CHANEL, its clothes. And with her, it becomes even more modern. This collection, it’s also her.”

As the film came to an end, we saw the visual representation of Viard’s vision in action. A collage of sophistication, French elegance and freedom of movement.

In what felt like a moment, the new trends walked up and down the runway:

Bows, boas, rhinestone boots, a white jacket with sequins, deconstructed prints, pastel tweeds, Bermuda shorts, glitter ankle socks, and transparent silk jumpsuits.

I can’t wait to see the Ready-To-Wear Collection come alive in real life.

These are my favorite looks from the runway:
